Reformation of Mobile Agents by Chaotic Itinerancy

Masao Kubo , Yoshiyuki Sasakabe

Abstract

A new dynamics that promotes the emergence of new formations for groups of autonomous mobile agents is proposed. This dynamics is based on the synchronization of coupled networked chaotic oscillators, and utilizes chaotic itinerancy of the oscillators for reformation of the group. The dynamics is applied to Sannomiya’s fish simulator, and its performance is verified through trajectory and simple quantitative measurements.
