My research in the SPATIAL COGNITION project
I will focus on spatial aspects of goal-directed movements, such as grasping, eye movements, and dedicated brains structures. Also, I will address the question in which reference-frames space is coded for our various effectors. To accomplish this, I will make use of movement tracking techniques, fMRI and TMS.
Main interests
Goal-directed actions, eye-hand coordinations, oculomotor system, fMRI, TMS, single-cell recordings, neural modelling.
Current projects
Frontal eye fields: neural control of spatially oriented eye movements
fMRI guided TMS: building a neuronavigator
Ego- and allocentric space representations
