ICS-Lib is a collection of additions to Stata, a fast and feature-loaded statistics program. To run these commands you need to have access to an installed version of Stata, release 6. Obtaining a selection of ICS-Lib is mostly easily accomplished from within Stata, while you have an internet connection. Within Stata,
Stata will then open a Stata-style index of the commands in ICS-Lib. ICS-Lib is divided in a number of categories.
You can read short descriptions and the help files before "installing" commands. In the unlikely event that you later want to uninstall ICS-Lib commands, use the Stata command
ado.
Acknowledgement
ICS-Lib was started by Albert Verbeek and Jeroen Weesie in 1986, and continued by the second author after the first author passed away. We thank Jos Dessens, Chris Snijders, Vincent Buskens, and Wim Bernasco for helpful comments on earlier versions of many of the programs included in ICS-Lib. The development of ICS-Lib is supported by grant PGS 50-370 by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
